Barnbrook design has recently completed work on the catalogue for Newspeak, a show of new British Art held at the State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia. The show is jointly presented by the Hermitage and the Saatchi Gallery, which will host an expanded version of the show in two parts during 2010.
For the design of the catalogue, we took inspiration from the title of the exhibition, Newspeak, and created some radical, Orwellian graphics. The bilingual catalogue features a fluorescent spot colour throughout and an extra luminous ink on the cover, which reveals hidden designs when viewed in the dark.
Barnbrook design is also working on the catalogue for the expanded Newspeak show at the Saatchi Gallery, which will be published by Booth-Clibborn Editions.
